Core Physics Tricks Guide

Human: Fall Flat advanced physics mechanics guide - swinging, throwing, and wall climbing.

đŸ’Ē Core Physics Tricks Guide

Once you master basic grabs, you can unlock Bob’s inertia engine. By combining coordinate rotations and friction limits, you can perform advanced movements that bypass standard puzzles entirely.

1. The Swing Jump (Pendulum Action)

  • Difficulty: ⭐⭐☆☆☆
  • Application: Crossing super-wide chasms using ropes, poles, or hanging lanterns.
  • Action Sequence:
    1. Jump and grab the rope/lantern at the highest possible point.
    2. Hold W and S in cycles. Push forward at the peak of the backward swing, and pull back at the peak of the forward swing to build momentum.
    3. Once the swing reaches maximum speed, wait until you reach the highest point of the forward arc (when speed drops to zero for an instant).
    4. Release both grabs instantly, and press Space to launch yourself forward.

2. Single-Hand Wall Climb (Horizontal Wiggle)

  • Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
  • Application: Climbing flat vertical walls without any ledges.
  • Action Sequence:
    1. Face the wall, raise one hand (e.g. left hand) and grab it. Leave the other hand free.
    2. Swing your camera to the right, raising the free right hand above the left hand. Grab the wall with your right hand.
    3. Release the left hand click. Swing your camera to the left, raising the left hand above the right hand, and grab.
    4. Repeat this coordinate rotation back and forth to walk your hands up the wall.

💡 Tip for Glitch Climb: Always make sure your camera is rotated at least 45 degrees sideways when raising the free hand. This forces Bob's shoulder joints to stretch higher than normal, allowing you to reach further up the wall.
