Basic Controls Guide

Human: Fall Flat movement manual - walk, run, grab, and basic climbing.

🎮 Basic Controls Guide

In Human: Fall Flat, Bob’s wobbly body has two independently controlled arms. Every keyboard/mouse input is converted into torque output for his wobbly muscles. This guide will help you build muscle memory and master the fundamental movement physics.

Basic Climbing Demonstration
📸 Basic Climb: Grab the ledge with both hands, look down, and pull yourself up.

⌨️ Input Command Terminal

Familiarize yourself with the default key bindings to coordinate Bob’s limbs:

  • Move Walk: Use WASD.
  • Rotate Head/View: Move your Mouse. Bob’s hands reach toward the center of your crosshair.
  • Left Grab: Hold Left Mouse Button. Left hand sticks to the target.
  • Right Grab: Hold Right Mouse Button. Right hand sticks to the target.
  • Jump: Press Space. Jumping carries forward momentum when moving.
  • Run: Hold Shift. Bob bends over slightly and accelerates.

📐 Mechanics & Core Movement Systems

1. Grab & Release System

  • The Physics: As long as you hold down the Left/Right Click, Bob’s hands act as high-strength sticky pads. Any surface (walls, boxes, teammates) will be stuck tight.
  • Tip: Release the mouse buttons to let go. When carrying objects, keep the hands flat and pull backwards to slide items smoothly.

2. Standard Wall Climb (Step-by-Step)

This is the most critical hurdle for new players. Master this 4-step sequence:

  1. Approach & Look Up: Move up to the wall, look straight up at the sky, and raise both hands high.
  2. Jump & Grab: Press Space to jump. Ensure both hands stick to the top ledge of the wall. Keep holding the mouse buttons!
  3. Pull Up (Look Down): Slowly move your mouse down to look at the ground. Bob will naturally pull his torso up to the ledge.
  4. Forward Over: While looking down, press and hold W. Bob will swing his legs over and climb on top.

【Climbing Tip for Beginners】
Many beginners fail because they release the mouse buttons too early when trying to step onto the ledge. Remember: Never release your mouse clicks until both feet are firmly on top of the wall! Keep looking down until Bob climbs over.
